"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ... the body is not made up of one part but of many."
- 1 Corinthians 12:12–14 -

Volunteer Teams

These parent-led teams are a great way to connect to other GCA families, while creating a positive impact at our school.

Prayer Walkers

We are a group of adults that plan to meet weekly to walk laps around the school parking lot. Walkers can connect and chat while they exercise. One lap is our “prayer loop,” where we spend that time lifting up our school community in prayer. Join the Prayer Walkers email list to get notified about our first meet up.

Hospitality Team

Throughout the year, our school hosts many events that include yummy treats. The Hospitality Team works with our Events Coordinator (Megean Foord) to plan and set up the food we serve at various school events throughout the year. Whether it’s shopping for groceries or setting up a table of baked goods, every helping hand makes a difference!

Snack Attack Team

Once a month, we set up a snack table to show our amazing staff how much we appreciate all their hard work. (Snacks are donated by our equally amazing families.) The volunteers that make up our Snack Attack Team help to plan and set up these monthly goodies.

Frozen Friday Team

On select Fridays throughout the year, our JK–5th grade students have the chance to purchase an ice cream treat at lunch from our very own GCA Ice Cream Shop! All proceeds go toward something fun for our elementary students (ex: new outdoor toys, fun assemblies & programs, etc). Our Frozen Friday team shops for the treats and helps man our ice cream shop.

Sunshine Squad

Calling all Class Clowns! The Sunshine Squad picks a few days during the year to greet our students in a fun, silly way. Whether it’s over-the-top high fives on National High Five Day or bubbles and cowbells on the last day of school- these energetic parents work hard to bring a smile to the face of all our GCA kiddos when they arrive on our campus!

Game Day Volunteers

We're always looking for volunteers to help us during our games and meets. We'd love to have you help at our concessions stand during volleyball and basketball games... or sign up for a station during our GCA-hosted cross country meets. It's very flexible- just pick the days you want to serve. Volunteers get free admission to the game!

Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures of JK-5th grade students to volunteer at GCA for a day. Our volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their day, many of which are with their child's class. They may read books with a student or play math games with a group. Their tasks can include helping to motivate students in PE or simply playing with students at recess. No matter how they are enlisted to help, Watch D.O.G.S. serve as positive male role models for our students. If you are interested in volunteering or have more questions about the Watch D.O.G.S. program, please contact Mrs. Queen-Johnson at [email protected].
