COST: $100 The Mini Knights Recreation Program is excited to announce a skills and fundamentals basketball program this Spring! Starting Mondays on March 9th for those in grades k-2nd and Wednesdays, starting March 11th for those in grades 3rd-5th, participants will engage in basic basketball skill-building sessions from 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm at the GCA Sports Complex. This program is designed to introduce elementary students to fundamental basketball skills appropriate to their age group, including shooting, dribbling, passing, defensive stance, station work, rebounding, and group play. The program will run through the week of April 20th. K - 2nd Grade Dates: Mondays

This program is designed to introduce students in grades K-5 to fundamental cheerleading skills, including basic positions, terminology, stunting, tumbling exercises, and basic cheer jumps. This special day is set aside a time just for families of our school community to pause, reflect, and seek the Lord together. Parents are welcome to attend between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. in the Life Center. During this time, you will participate in a self-guided experience through prayer stations thoughtfully prepared throughout the space. Each station will include a prayer focus, a written guide, and simple interactive activities designed to help center your heart and mind on Christ. This is a meaningful opportunity to partner with us spiritually and model for our students the importance of prayer in our daily lives. Whether you are able to stay for a few minutes or the full hour, we would be honored by your presence. We look forward to praying alongside you as we seek God’s guidance and blessing. DATE: March 3-6, 2026 WHO: JK-5th Grade Students We’re excited to spend the week celebrating the joy of reading and inspiring a lifelong love of books in our students. Throughout the week, students can participate in fun dress-up days that highlight the adventure and imagination found in reading. Tuesday – Hats Off to Reading: Wear your favorite hat as we tip our caps to the power of a good book! Wednesday – Team Up for Reading: Show your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports team gear—because great readers make a great team. Thursday – Cozy Up with a Book: Grab your slippers, robe, and PJs as we get comfy and enjoy a good story together. Friday – Future Friday: Dress for the career you dream of pursuing one day and explore how reading today helps build the future you want tomorrow. We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity on display and to celebrate a week full of stories, imagination, and school spirit! 📖 🎉 DATE: Tuesday, February 24 & Thursday, February 26th (during school hours) WHERE: GCA Campus WHO: Middle & High School Students Our mission at GCA is to equip students to impact their communities for Christ! As part of that mission, we schedule targeted times throughout the year to focus on practical application of life skills through a Biblical lens. We will have breakout sessions for our middle and high school students next week, on the afternoons of Tuesday, February 24 and Thursday, February 26. TUESDAY: Students will attend workshops ranging from financial management to trusting God with post-graduate decisions. Christian leaders from both our community and the GCA family will be leading these workshops. THURSDAY: GCA’s secondary teachers will be hosting a series of workshops designed to help our students cultivate interpersonal skills. We are prayerfully trusting God will speak into the hearts of our students and ask that you join us in that prayer. We will have a table out along with some GCA Swag, so come see us and say hello! Have a neighbor who’s curious about GCA? This is the perfect time for them to meet with us. DATE: Friday-Saturday; February 20-21, 2026 TIME: Drop off is Friday at 6pm; Pick up is Saturday at 7:30am WHERE: The Atrium at GCA WHO: 4th & 5th grade students (and their friends!) COST: $35 IT'S FINALLY HERE... The annual 4th & 5th Grade Lock-In!! This year's registration includes transportation to/from Uptown Alley for bowling, arcade games and pizza dinner, late night games in the Sports Complex, midnight snack bar, karaoke, movies and more! Students are welcome to invite their non-GCA 4th & 5th grade friends as well. All attendees must be registered ahead of time (see the link below). Please note: This is an overnight event Friday, Feb 20- Saturday, Feb 21. Parents can drop kids off Friday at 6pm at Southside Church and pickup Sat morning at 7:30am. Kids will be playing hard for most of the night. We will encourage them to lay down and get a short nap around 3am, so bring a sleeping bag/blankets and pillow. A big thanks to the Southside Kids ministry for hosting this event! It is staffed by Southside Kids staff and volunteers, who have gone through a screening and approval process. Have questions? We’ll also be recognizing individual students who go above and beyond with our “Most Spirited” awards!
