This always popular community event is a fun, safe evening of trick or treating for kids and their families. Families will have a great time going to the trunks, seeing all of the fun costumes and decorations, and best of all, getting lots of candy. A (FREE) ticket is required for each participant to enter! DONATE CANDY: We are asking for donations of individually wrapped candy to help fill the trunks and make sure every child goes home with plenty of treats. There are two ways you can help us stock up on candy: 1. PURCHASE CANDY: You can drop off your candy donations at the school office any time between now and October 20, 2025. 2. DONATE FUNDS: Click HERE to donate to our candy fund. Click "Show All" to see the Trunk-or-Treat category. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support in making this event a special one for our community! VOLUNTEER This is a great opportunity for you to serve with your family. Decorate a trunk (we will provide the candy), be an in-costume host, man the registration table, or direct traffic. Kids can test their riding skills as they navigate obstacles like the 'car wash' and the 'newspaper delivery test.' Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Parents: you can drop kids off or you are welcome to stay and hang out at Mission Laser if you'd prefer. Registration includes two games of laser tag and pizza/drinks. This Laser Tag event is hosted by Southside Kids ministry and is staffed by vetted and approved Southside Kids staff and volunteers. WHEN: October 16, 2025 @ TBA WHO: GCA Parents/Guardians (PK-12th Grade) WHERE: TBA COST: FREE Topic: "Power of Your Words" All GCA parents and guardians are invited to gather for an evening of encouragement, connection, and conversation. Our Parent/Guardian Roundtables are designed to help families navigate the year with renewed vision, practical tools, and spiritual encouragement. Gilead Farm - 2501 Mt Gilead Blvd, Richmond, VA 23235 (Please enter via the main church entrance, keep straight until the end and park in the lot on the right.) WHO: The entire family We’re excited to offer families a meaningful way to spend time together while serving our community! On October 11, we’ll be lending a hand at Mt. Gilead Farms. This local farm not only provides fresh produce to neighbors in need, but also helps educate kids about farming and the many benefits it brings to our community. Grandparent’s Day is one of the highlights of our year — a joyful, memory-making event where we pause to honor the incredible role grandparents play in our students’ lives. All students will have their individual picture taken. Class photos will be scheduled at a later date. A makeup day will also be provided for students who are absent on their scheduled picture day. On picture day, students may wear school-appropriate, non-dress code attire. Because this tournament doubles as a fundraiser for our program, all spectators — including GCA students, parents, staff, and guests — are required to purchase an all-day pass. Please note: Per-match tickets will not be available. Purchase your discounted tickets online in advance here: Please have your receipt ready at the admission line to get your wrist band when you enter. (Full-price -cash- tickets will be sold at the door the day of the event. No discounted tickets will be available the day of the tournament) Volunteer to Help We Need Your Help! Hosting an event of this size takes a village, and we’re looking for volunteers to help with concessions and admissions, as well as checking bathrooms and picking up after our guests when necessary.
