During this event, 5th grade students will visit middle school classrooms, meet teachers, and experience a snapshot of what their daily schedule, learning environment, and expectations will look like next year. By giving students a chance to explore, ask questions, and build familiarity ahead of time, we aim to ease any uncertainties and help them step into middle school feeling prepared, supported, and eager for what’s ahead.  DATE: Monday; March 23, 2026 TIME: 7:00-8:00 am WHERE: GCA Atrium WHO: GCA Students and their VIP Lady COST: FREE Our VIP breakfast dates are a meaningful way for our GCA kiddos to connect with their favorite adults! Pre K - 5th grade students are invited to join us with their moms (or special someone) for a breakfast treat and a few fun activities. Stop by any time between 7am and 8 am. Our event will end at 8am so that all our kids can be in class by the time school starts at 8:15. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We'd love your help setting up and serving our breakfast treats to our awesome ladies and their kiddos! Volunteers are needed on Monday morning from 6:45-9am. This special dance is for our PreK–5th grade students and their parents (or VIP adults), and it’s sure to be a night to remember. Students are encouraged to dress in their fanciest outfits and pair them with their coolest sneakers for a fun and unique twist on formal wear. COST: $100 The Mini Knights Recreation Program is excited to announce a skills and fundamentals basketball program this Spring! Starting Mondays on March 9th for those in grades k-2nd and Wednesdays, starting March 11th for those in grades 3rd-5th, participants will engage in basic basketball skill-building sessions from 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm at the GCA Sports Complex. This program is designed to introduce elementary students to fundamental basketball skills appropriate to their age group, including shooting, dribbling, passing, defensive stance, station work, rebounding, and group play. Starting Monday, March 9th for 6 weeks, participants will engage in basic cheer skill-building clinics every Monday (except for Spring Break week) from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm at the GCA Sports Complex. This program is designed to introduce students in grades K-5 to fundamental cheerleading skills, including basic positions, terminology, stunting, tumbling exercises, and basic cheer jumps. This special day is set aside a time just for families of our school community to pause, reflect, and seek the Lord together. Parents are welcome to attend between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. in the Life Center. During this time, you will participate in a self-guided experience through prayer stations thoughtfully prepared throughout the space. Each station will include a prayer focus, a written guide, and simple interactive activities designed to help center your heart and mind on Christ. This is a meaningful opportunity to partner with us spiritually and model for our students the importance of prayer in our daily lives. Whether you are able to stay for a few minutes or the full hour, we would be honored by your presence. We look forward to praying alongside you as we seek God’s guidance and blessing. Throughout the week, students can participate in fun dress-up days that highlight the adventure and imagination found in reading. Tuesday – Hats Off to Reading: Wear your favorite hat as we tip our caps to the power of a good book! Wednesday – Team Up for Reading: Show your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports team gear—because great readers make a great team. Thursday – Cozy Up with a Book: Grab your slippers, robe, and PJs as we get comfy and enjoy a good story together. Friday – Future Friday: Dress for the career you dream of pursuing one day and explore how reading today helps build the future you want tomorrow.
