Get Kids Excited About Reading!

​Summer is the perfect time to help kids foster a love for reading. Here are some easy ideas for encouraging reading this summer:

1. Take them to the library and let them pick out their own books.
2. Get a Kids Kindle and use your library card in the Overdrive App to borrow library books for free. The best part? No late fees or having to make multiple trips to the library when you run out of books!
3. Not interested in books yet? They can read kid's magazines or comic books instead. It's all reading!
4. Keep a stash of kid books or magazines in the car. With nothing else to do, your kids might just pick them up and start reading.
5. Research a good series for their reading level so they will have multiple books they are excited about reading.
